You all! I can hardly believe it, but Overtime for Love is nominated in the romance category for the African American Literary Award. The African American Literary Awards Show (AALAS) is the first event to recognize, honor, celebrate and promote the achievements and contributions of African-American authors, writers, publishers, artists and related entertainment industries. You can learn more about the AALAS here.
Awards will be given out on Saturday October 6, 2018 at the Sheen Theater in New York. Now I’m asking for your help. If you read and loved Overtime for Love please take the time to vote for Isaiah and Angela today! You get one vote per person, but if you know someone else who loved their story let them know.
Voting ends September 6, 2018. So vote today!
And to whomever took the time to nominate Overtime for Love, THANK YOU! Just knowing there are readers who loved their story as much as I did and took the time to nominate the story is a tremendous honor.
Overtime for Love Blurb:
Desire is a game without rules
Optimistic and hardworking, Angela Bouler prides herself on getting through life without asking for an assist. School, two jobs, caring for her nephew, Cory—she’s keeping it all together…then Isaiah Reynolds bounces into her life. The Jacksonville Gators’ star forward is coaching at Cory’s summer camp, but guardians and mentors aren’t supposed to mix—and certainly not surrender to red-hot kisses…
Isaiah has an image of the perfect partner in his head, and it doesn’t quite mesh with Angela’s hectic life. Or her evening job serving drinks at a gentlemen’s club. But deep down, she’s the only woman who sparks a true connection. He’s expected to keep his image spotless, but instead he’s risking everything on a strong, sexy, complicated woman. Winning her heart won’t be easy, but it’s becoming the only play that really matters…
