So there I was, sitting watching the closing ceremony for the Olympics and Tweeting about prophylactics when I get an email with a link to my first book review. While I have gotten great feedback from readers on my book, and most have promised to write a review once it’s up, this is my first book reviewer, gonna post a rating on my blog, and tell the world what I think review. Naturally, I handed the iPad to my hubby and asked him to read it first.
As I squinted through my fingers and waited for him to start, he smiled. That was all I needed. I am thrilled with the review. The site is WiLoveBooks and they gave You Can’t Plan Love a 4 star rating. Even better, the steam factor was 4 exclamation points! One away from BDSM and menage type love scenes. Why I’m stoked that my book is considered hot probably says a lot about me, but who cares. I like steamy books, and therefore am proud to say I also write steamy books.
I’m waiting on other reviews to come. Yes, I know they all may not love my book, but for now I’m gonna float on cloud nine for a bit and enjoy this newby moment.
In other news, I will be doing a lot of blog interviews coming up, so there won’t be any interviews on my site until September. I’m planning a contest for my book release week, so be on the lookout for that. You Can’t Plan Love is available for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and the Apple iBook store. And I plan to celebrate my release next weekend with family and friends. Let’s hope the week continues on this high note.

It’s a catch 22, Abby. You want reviews, but are afraid to read them. 🙂 I’m glad my first one was good!
