Updates and a Giveaway!

It’s mid August and I’m finally getting time to get a few updates out to you all. Last month was busy (as I expected) but a lot of fun. Let’s start with the Romance Writers of America Conference (RWA17).

OMG! I had such a great time. Not surprising. I usually have fun at RWA even thought it can be overwhelming and a little exhausting. The highlight for me was the RITA Awards. A Malibu Kind of Romance finaled in the Contemporary Romance Short Category. I didn’t win, but I’m still a winner. The fact that my name made it up there in big print is enough to make me proud. I’m going to keep writing, keep entering, and keep hoping more readers discover and enjoy my stories.

RWA17 is also great because I get to meet up with my writer friends that I only  see once or twice a year. What’s even better, Carolyn Hector gifted me with a tiara! I’m wearing it in my office right now. The tiara is now my official “You got this keep writing” good luck charm. You all should check out Carolyn’s Once Upon a Tiara series with Harlequin Kimani.

RWA17 the perfect time for selfies!

On the writing front, I’m keeping super busy. Edits completed for my next Scoring for Love book. Overtime for Love releases in January 2018 and I can’t wait for you guys to cuddle up with Jacksonville Gators basketball star Isiah Reynolds.

I finished another book! It’s a new series and once I complete revisions in the upcoming week or so it’ll be off to my agent to review and send out into the world.

Giveaway!

I’m ending August by participating in a Booksweeps giveaway. If you’ve never read my book Show Me How to Love (or know someone who hasn’t) you can download a copy along with 100+ romance reads for FREE! PLUS you’ll have a chance to win an ereader! If you’re interested click here. Feel free to share the love!

August is almost over, but my goals are still front and center on my mind.

  1. Finish Another Shot of Temptation (done already!)
  2. Write 25k on my next Jacksonville Gators book (will start that soon)
  3. Finish up the Booksweeps giveaway (currently in progress)
  4. Get better at tennis!

Tennis has been a bunch of fun, y’all! Our team name is Casual Sets. (Imagine saying that fast to an opponent and the resulting looks). Have we  won any games…no! Did I agree to play in the fall league anyway….YES! Fingers crossed my game gets better. I’m think I may have finally found a sport my non-sporty self can enjoy. Check out my Instagram page for tennis selfies and updates.
